missed appointment policy

My goal is to provide a quality-individualized service in a timely manner to all my clients. No-shows, late shows and cancellations, not only inconvenience me but also those individuals who are on a waiting list wanting an appointment at Vicky’s Dog Care.

Cancellation of an Appointment

In order to be respectful of the needs of other clients, please be courteous and contact me promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time will be reallocated to someone on the waiting list. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, I require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand at Vicky’s Dog Care, and your early cancellation will allow another client access to an appointment.

How to cancel or rearrange your Appointment

To cancel or rearrange your appointment, please call 01525 222775 or 07796445416. If I am unable to answer the telephone then please leave a detailed message on my voice mail including your name and telephone number. I will return your call promptly.

Late Cancellations: A cancellation is considered to be late when the appointment is cancelled without a 24-hour advance notice.

No Show Policy: A “no-show”, is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded on the client’s card as a “no-show”. This includes arriving 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment.

The first time there is a “no-show”, late cancellation, or cancellation without a reasonable excuse there will be a charge. We can discuss ways in which I may be able to help you. One option is a text reminder service.


A second occurrence will result in me not being able to groom your dog in the future.
